Australian Doctor Group was looking for a website refresh across 4 of their main websites: Australian Doctor, Pharmacy News, 6 Minutes & How to Treat. On top of a UI refresh we were tasked with simplifying the sign up process and created a more user friendly journey. The team worked closely with stake holders to come up with a plan to create 4 websites at the same time. After getting feedback from users and doctors who support the site through user testing sessions we were able to come up with a fresh user friendly update while meeting the many requirements needed for many doctors.
We were able to re-use many components of the main site of Australian Doctor that was then put into the other three sites which sped up the development time and allowed us to finish all 4 sites on deadline. The site was tested for the perfect balance between sponsored content and articles as there was a lot of feedback that the old site did not handle this very well. The sign up journey was cleaned up with a split up sign up process as feedback showed such a long form put users off. We also allowed users to enter the basic information and finish the sign up later which lead to a clear increase in monthly active users.
